Toft Cricket Club will begin the 2015 season with a great deal of optimism after a successful campaign in 2014.
2015 promises a great deal, with an exciting squad of experienced players and younger players, some who have represented Cheshire at their respective age groups. Despite a couple of departures, the squad will be well balanced by new players coming into the club.
The 1st XI batting line up once again looks in good shape. The welcome return of prolific run scorer, overseas opening batsman, Jake Hancock should result in some more high totals.
The 2nd XI will once again be very strong. Paul Ashley will lead the 2s, supported by Dave Blackburn and they should be able to call upon a mixture of youth and experience.
The 3rd XI recorded some solid performances in 2014 and will be able to build on this under the leadership of ex 1st XI skipper Andrew Hodgson, who will be looking to develop the next generation of Toft players.
The Cheshire County League Premier Division will be very competitive again in 2015. The top sides will have recruited well with big name players and will be harder to beat than before. Newly promoted sides will be hoping to remain in the top flight and there will be no easy games in 2015.
The club will once again have to work extremely hard on the field to retain Premier league status.
